Juvenile recently disclosed how much marijuana he smokes every day, demonstrating how heavy of a smoker he is.
During his performance in Los Angeles last month, Juve told Shirley Ju for MyMixtapez that he smokes almost half an ounce every day.
Approximately half an ounce. “Very nearly half an ounce,” he said. “I smoke for a long time.”
Juve responded, “I got a hybrid [of sativa and indica],” when asked what kind of cannabis he liked.
Fortunately, Juvenile receives payments from all across the world to fund his daily marijuana use.
The New Orleans icon disclosed last month that he is still obtaining residuals from Drake’s 2011 sampling of “Back That Azz Up” as well as from other artists who have utilized the beat, such as Beyoncé, City Girls, Kanye West, Ty Dolla $ign, and others, in an interview.
Regarding Drizzy’s song “Practice,” he remarked, “They told me it wasn’t going to be like mine and they said, ‘Listen to it.'” And I thought, ‘This is Drake, mothafucka,’ as I listened to it. I don’t have to listen to it at all. Let’s get things cleared. Drake is here! And they said, “Listen to it, no.” After listening to it, I thought, “All right, he did it in his own unique way.” How much? [laughs] No, but really, bro, I didn’t anticipate Drake to execute it the way I did because he usually does things his own way. He followed his own method, and it was successful.
“I actually do [still get random checks from that],” he added. To all the cats who would like to try it, a big thank you. Please give it a try! Mannie Fresh and I still own our publishing and everything.
Not only has “Back That Azz Up” been sampled, but Eminem most recently did so with his new album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), which featured the timeless smash song “Ha.”
Em heavily samples the 1998 single, which was later remixed with JAY-Z, for the second half of the song “Road Rage.”
“Grateful to Eminem. “He just took ‘Ha,'” Juvenile stated in an interview conducted in August. “I applaud the artists, especially the ones who are really good at it and have talent, because we can’t do nothing with these songs sitting down and we can’t make any money with them sitting down alone.”
