The estate of Juice WRLD has unveiled the trailer and cover art for what is expected to be the late rapper’s final posthumous album.
The Party Never Ends is scheduled for release on Black Friday (November 29), just days before the fifth anniversary of Juice’s death.“Been 5 years kid, still missing you down here…” wrote Juice’s label head, Lil Bibby, alongside the album trailer. “Feels like yesterday you were down here cracking your corny jokes.
Your fans still miss you, still getting on my nerves every day. One of them just told me I had a penthouse in hell waiting for me [laughing emoji].”
“Other than that, the album is amazing, and it’s wild to see that these kids still want more from you after 1000 leaks and hours of footage. Thank you, and your crazy fans for everything. Hope y’all enjoy this last album! 999 for Life!!!”
The trailer features actor Eric Roberts as a grandfather introducing his grandchildren to Juice’s music. The album’s cover art, created by renowned artist Takashi Murakami, was also revealed.Check out both below.
Ahead of the album release, Juice WRLD’s team dropped the Nicki Minaj-assisted track, “All Girls Are the Same 2 (Insecure).”
Additionally, Juice WRLD will be featured in a Fortnite virtual concert the day after the album’s launch, with exclusive skins and accessories available for players.
In legal news, Juice WRLD’s estate is being sued by producer Joshua Jaramillo, who worked on the posthumous 2021 single “Girl Of My Dreams” with BTS’s Suga.
Jaramillo claims he had an agreement for 5% ownership and 1% of the royalties but has not been fully compensated.
He is suing for unspecified damages and is requesting a complete breakdown of the song’s earnings, which he has not received despite multiple inquiries.
