On Friday, July 19, JT’s first project, City Cinderella, will be available on streaming providers. It will be her first body of work as a solo artist; City Girl’s rumored breakup earlier this year came before it.

The rapper from “JT First Day Out” revealed details about the upcoming album during her cover story with PAPER Magazine on Tuesday, July 16. She specifically refuted claims that, despite its 16-track length, City Cinderella is an album.

“City Cinderella is undoubtedly a mixtape,” the performer stated to the newspaper. Individuals spend a year working on their albums. Simply put, albums are unique. Given how quickly I completed this production, City Cinderella is not my debut album.

JT went on, “I didn’t have time to really cultivate and doctor this project because I had to develop it while on tour and moving around. This is simply something I’m releasing based only on instinct.

The unreleased titles “Intro (Hope),” “Servin’,” and “JT’s Coming” were confirmed. Pre-release tracks include “OKAY” and “Sideways,” the latter of which was remixed by Jeezy.

Despite “No Bars” not making the final cut of City Cinderella, JT talked about how important the record was to her, particularly in light of City Girls’ RAW’s poor album sales. “Oh my God, it’s f**king over,” the woman said, adding that “No Bars” went viral once more. I listened to that song a lot. I will always find it extremely special. Although I’m disappointed that it’s not even on my first project, I believe it was necessary to bring me to this point.

On August 20, JT’s “City Cinderella Tour” is scheduled to kick off in Kansas City, Missouri. She will stop in a number of locations later on, including New York, Charlotte, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Dallas. No supporting artists have been confirmed as of yet.
