Jennifer Lopez announced Friday that she is canceling her summer tour to spend more time with her family, amid rumors of a breakup with actor-husband Ben Affleck.
The singer’s and her promoter’s decision also follows rumors that sales for the multi-date concert were not meeting expectations.
She announced the cancellation of the tour in her newsletter, “On the JLo,” which was distributed to fans on Friday.
“I am very sorry for disappointing you; I am inconsolable. Please understand that if I didn’t think doing this was absolutely necessary, I wouldn’t do it,” Lopez stated.
“I swear, I’ll make it right and we’ll all be together once more.” You all have my undying love. Until the next occasion.
A statement from Live Nation, the tour promoter, was also included in the email, stating that Jennifer “is taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends.”
The tour had several modifications and alterations, such as removing some dates and renaming it as a greatest hits tour instead of one that was centered around her most recent album, before it was ultimately canceled.
However, it also comes with Lopez and Affleck’s obvious problems being the talk of the entertainment and tabloid media.
The couple reportedly split up after their first relationship ended in 2022 and have been living apart in Los Angeles. They were married in 2022.
According to People Magazine, the 51-year-old star of “Good Will Hunting” and the 54-year-old singer of “On The Floor” had troubled interactions due to their disparate views on celebrity.
According to an unidentified insider cited in the magazine, “She likes to open her heart to her fans and to the world.”
He is more reclusive and introverted. Every day has been challenging with this.
The two initially got together on the production of the critically acclaimed 2003 film “Gigli.”
While they were dating, they gained notoriety in the media. They decided to put off their 2003 wedding, but in early 2004, they declared their breakup.
When pictures of the couple together started to surface again in 2021, the internet went crazy, coining the nickname “Bennifer,” which was given to them during their first, well reported relationship.
The following year, in July, they were married in a modest ceremony in Nevada. In August, they were married in front of a star-studded crowd at Affleck’s opulent 87-acre (35-hectare) waterfront estate in Georgia, in the southeast region of the United States.
According to reports, the couple purchased a $60 million Los Angeles mansion jointly last year.
