Jim Jones has responded to 50 Cent and Cam’ron after they brought up his contentious performance alongside the G-Unit leader during a peak moment of Dipset’s internal conflict.

During an episode of Justin Laboy’s Respectfully podcast, the Harlem rapper spoke about the duo’s recent interview where they talked about 50 (who was feuding with Cam at that moment) bringing Jim on stage at a 2007 New York City performance, an act that his Diplomat counterpart considered a betrayal.

“Those guys are all over me,” Capo replied. “Those guys don’t have anything else on their minds except Capo.” I did so much for those guys in their life, you know? The two of them. Stop for a moment, however. Get off my back! There’s just room for baby girl on there. Let’s go, dude. “Pulling on my stuff like that.”

Jones also contested Cam’ron’s statement that he aimed to fix Dipet’s issues prior to the concert, suggesting that he was responsible for the group splitting up.

“That guy couldn’t get anything organized.” He couldn’t do anything with me. “He couldn’t say anything to me, man,” he retorted. “Let’s not misinterpret this.” No one could inform me of anything. I was in charge of myself […] I pursued what I wished to pursue.

“I noticed things weren’t going well, so I began doing what Jim Jones had to do for Jim Jones because the guy meant to be the boss wasn’t looking after the Capo.” “It began to resemble the Gotti film, you know?”

The “We Fly High” artist elaborated on his choice to take the stage with 50 Cent by stating: “I listened to what [50] mentioned, ‘Koch was a graveyard’ and all that sort of stuff. I didn’t care at all about any of that.

“They reached out to me saying, ‘Hey, do you want to come out and perform at the event?'” I responded, “Absolutely!” I have the top record, I’m standing out. […] I wasn’t part of anyone’s circle of friends. I used to be a pirate.

He then laughed, saying: “Those guys [in G-Unit] couldn’t even outfit themselves, but he provided me a stage to showcase my talent to thousands in New York. “Sure, I’ll go with that.”

In the podcast, Jim Jones discussed his previous conflicts with Cam’ron, whom he accused of hindering his achievements, and he also criticized his former partner’s now-resolved feud with 50 Cent.

“When Cam contacted the station regarding the Koch situation, I thought it was immature,” he remarked, alluding to Killa and 50’s notorious on-air dispute on Hot 97 in early 2007. “You didn’t step outside when it was time to really engage, so how can you act in such a feeble way?”

“You began losing your mind over Koch, over a white man who had been taking advantage of us since we were signed there, and any behind-the-scenes arrangements you made with them benefited you more than they benefited me.” So when that stuff happened, I thought, ‘That was sort of lame, that was cheesy.’”

In the previously mentioned interview, Cam’ron acknowledged that 50 Cent’s invitation to Jim Jones for his NYC show was “clever” and “sly,” referring to it as “a checkmate moment” in their rivalry.

50, on his side, asserted that it was a gamble — yet one intended to foster conflict within Dipset.

“I only took the shot because I wasn’t confident [Jim Jones] would attempt it.” I said, ‘We prefer Jimmy over you, Cam!’” he exclaimed in a humorous tone, causing everyone to burst into laughter.

Squinting as if measuring someone’s reply, Fid went on: “You need to observe and notice how he reacts. And then you realize, ‘Oh wow, he truly enjoys that!’ Inform him, ‘We desire your presence at the show, Jim!’

“That was one of those situations where I simply put it out there and observed the outcome.” “And he took a bite.”
