Jack Harlow has released a new track titled “Tranquility” where he seems to respond to accusations of being a culture vulture.
In the past few weeks, Harlow faced backlash from certain Hip Hop enthusiasts following his rendition of an Elvis Presley song during his No Place Like Home holiday event.
However, in his latest single, Harlow asserts that he is not seeking “credibility” in Hip Hop.
He raps: “Y’all boys lame shit killing me / Need to be reintroduced to humility / I ain’t lookin for no Hip Hop credibility / Give a fuck who feelin me, I’m feelin me / I’m really him, I’m really that remedy / Himothy Chalamet, pretty girls salivate / On the low, off the grid, in the cut, out the way / My prime’s in full swing like a Calaway.”

In another part of the track, Harlow disclosed that he incurred losses from his first Gazebo Festival after having to call off the last day because of a tornado warning.
Held in Louisville in May, the festival’s second and final day was canceled because of the potential for severe weather.
A representative for the festival stated: “The wellbeing of our attendees, performers, and staff is our top priority.” Given the ongoing dangerous conditions in the early afternoon and an additional wave of weather predicted for tonight, we have reached the tough decision to cancel the rest of Gazebo Festival.”
Harlow shared his thoughts on the cancellation via his Instagram Stories.
“Alright.” We need to cancel day 2 of @gazebo. We are presently under a tornado watch. I understand that conditions have improved somewhat, but the adverse weather has harmed the site, and additional storms along with strong winds are approaching. This indicates that no one will be performing on day 2, myself included,” he stated.
“I’m aiming to concentrate on the good since all I experienced was joy yesterday.” I appreciate our perfect first day and how this city united. I truly appreciate it. I apologize.
Harlow has since reiterated his dedication to participating in the festival in his hometown of Louisville, even after the 2024 cancellation.
