“Coming Home,” “End of Days,” “Day of Reckoning,” and “Snowy Paradise” will be included in the upcoming album, scheduled for release on December 9th.

J. Cole is currently reflecting on past memories. He revealed on Friday (Nov. 29) that 2014 Forest Hills Drive will receive new bonus tracks from that time period for its 10th anniversary.

Interscope Records, in partnership with Dreamville, released pre-orders for the alternate cover vinyl of the North Carolina lyricist’s LP, scheduled to be shipped on Dec. 6. A total of 2,014 copies were released for sale, limited to one per customer. It is likely that a special digital version will be available on digital streaming platforms simultaneously.

Cole achieved his third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart with 2014 Forest Hills Drive. Containing 13 songs, it arguably included some of his most impressive work up to that point, like “No Role Modelz,” “Wet Dreamz,” “Love Yourz” and “G.O.M.D.” The “platinum with no features” meme was humorously created by the project, with most of the production done in-house and only a few frequent collaborators such as Omen, Ron Gilmore, and Cardiak.

Cole mentioned to NPR that he put aside several records around the LP’s official release. He described how difficult it was to make cuts from what was once a double album.

The “Power Trip” artist clarified the unique release of the album by stating that it was difficult to convince the record label to release an album without any singles. And you only plan to make the announcement three weeks in advance, with no promotional activities.

Cole’s albums, Friday Night Lights and The Warm Up, were both released on streaming services for the first time earlier this month. The artist considered the re-release of his 2010 project, timed to coincide with the fifth episode of his “Inevitable” audio series, to be a significant moment in his career. Even though he gave a sneak peek at the high-quality versions of his and Kendrick Lamar’s early joint projects, such as “Temptation” and “Shock the World,” it’s uncertain if they will be released in the same way.
