Halo’s face has now been made public by DDG and Halle Bailey through a collection of precious family pictures.
On Wednesday, July 3, the rapper and YouTuber from Michigan shared images of the trio as a happy family on social media and questioned followers, “Who Halo look like more?”
However, it doesn’t seem like DDG had the reaction he was hoping for, since the majority of fans commented that the child looked more like Bailey.
Some laughed, “Halle.. YOU ARE THE FATHER,” while another remarked, “Your genes went to sleep, bruh.”
DDG retaliated by posting images of himself alongside Halo when he was a baby and writing, “Can’t say he don’t look like me.”
Halo was born late last year, and the pair just recorded themselves coaxing him to say his first words.
DDG could be heard saying “Dada” several times while Halo excitedly cooed and kicked. Halo tried a few times in vain before finally echoing his father and saying, “Dada.”
After that, DDG and Halle erupted in unison in celebration of their son’s noteworthy achievement.
“FIRST WORDS FROM MY SON!! HE YELLED, DADA! [Sad expression, red heart emoji],” the former wrote as a caption for the video. “OMG [emoji of a crying face] KEEP WATCHING TO THE END.”
Halo’s birth was declared by the couple in January, following months of rumors that Halle Bailey was expecting.
The Little Mermaid actress stated on Instagram, “Even though it’s only been a few days since the new year began, the best thing 2023 could have done for me was bring me my son.”
“The world is eager to get to know you [wink, crying, laughing, black heart emoji]. Welcome to the world, my halo [smiley face with hearts emoji, baby angel emoji, star emoji].”
Later, DDG shared an image of the same scene taken from a slightly different angle, writing, “my biggest blessing by far [baby emoji, heart emoji] son son.. never been so in love [holding back tears emoji] baby halo.”
The 26-year-old said that he had a “newfound respect” for women after witnessing Bailey give birth.
