After a video of Coldplay playing “Goosebumps” went viral, Travis Scott shared his thoughts on the British band’s rendition.
Chris Martin, the band’s leader, accepted song requests from fans during a recent performance, with an audience member reportedly yelling “Goosebumps.”
“‘Goosebumps’ is my favorite Travis Scott song,” Martin exclaimed, thrilled by the suggestion, before reimagining one of the Houston rapper’s best-known tunes.
Scott replied to Coldplay on X (previously Twitter) when the video of the band playing the cover went viral, writing: “This got it.” [emoji of a goat].
Thanks to his kids, Martin had earlier disclosed that Scott was one of the modern artists he enjoys listening to.
“It’s cool when your kids start getting you into things,” he told USA Today. That’s how I discovered Travis Scott, Olivia Rodrigo, The 1975, or whoever it is.
Frank Ocean previously reworked “Strawberry Swing,” and this isn’t the band’s first attempt at hip-hop, having previously worked with Kanye West and JAY-Z.
Scott, meantime, appears to be working diligently on his sequel to the commercially successful film Utopia in the studio.
“I’m going to be back in New York,” he stated in an interview with Cultured Magazine. I’ve returned to my album mode. While on tour, I’ve been working on music and other projects every day. I can see the music for what it is when I perform in stadiums because they are completely sold out. I’m quite excited.
The “I KNOW?” hitmaker has provided some hints regarding the possible vibe of his upcoming album.
He hinted to the potential concept of his fifth album earlier this year in response to a fan’s speculation about his potential path.
On X (previously Twitter), the fan posted, “Consider an album where each song is the city it was made in on the tour.”
The next day, Scott replied, “R u in my brain or what?” as if to clarify that he was considering the notion.
In addition, he has been recording while traveling the world with his Circus Maximus tour, setting up temporary studios along the way.
