According to Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) created 73,740 national drivers’ licenses (NDLs) in a span of two weeks.
Olusegun Ogungbemide, the corps public education officer, cited Mr. Mohammed as saying this on Wednesday in Abuja in a statement.
According to the corps marshal, the accomplishment came after deliberate actions were taken to reduce the backlog of licenses.
After taking office, Mr. Mohammed made a significant visit to the FRSC Print Farm in an effort to completely overhaul the service delivery process for the issue of driver’s licenses.
The evaluation was prompted by the volume of public criticism regarding the applicants’ unheard-of delays in receiving national driver’s licenses.
Following the evaluation, the corps.arshal established a task team to make sure the backlogs were resolved as quickly as feasible.
He oversaw output for twenty-four hours a day and promptly fixed any technological issues that impacted the farm’s total production capability.
“As of right now, 84,500 NDLs are anticipated to be produced and sent to the appropriate State Licensing Authorities across the country,” he stated.
Mr. Mohammed reassured the people about the corps’ dedication to providing high-quality services.
The corps marshal suggested that applicants check and pick up their licenses at their state licensing offices, especially if they had been waiting a while for approval.
