For the third week in a row, Tyler, The Creator’s Chromakopia has topped the Billboard 200, solidifying its position as one of hip-hop’s most commercially successful albums of 2024.

Billboard reports that the project, which debuted at the top of the chart earlier this month, has regained its top spot after selling 104,000 equivalent album units in the past week.

In just three weeks, this raises the album’s total sales to over 560,000, qualifying it for RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) gold certification.

Despite having a shorter tracking week because it was released on a Monday rather than the customary Friday, Chromakopia started with an astounding 299,500 copies in its first week and moved 160,000 in its second.

Additionally, the album surpasses both 2019’s IGOR and 2021’s Call Me If You Get Lost, marking Tyler’s longest spell at the top of the Billboard 200.

With “St. Chroma” and “Noid” becoming his first top 10 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 at number seven and number ten, respectively, Chromakopia has also propelled the founder of Odd Future to new heights on the Billboard Hot 100.

The GloRilla, Sexyy Red, and Lil Wayne-assisted song “Sticky,” which peaked at number 10 on the chart last week, has now helped Tyler earn a third spot in the top 10.

Childish Gambino, ScHoolboy Q, Doechii, Teezo Touchdown, and Daniel Caesar are among the other guests on the popular album. Additionally, Playboi Carti makes an appearance on a bonus track that is only available on vinyl.

In addition to its economic success, Chromakopia has received high praise from critics and was named the best rap album of 2024 by HipHopDX, which gave it a rating of 4.5 out of 5.

Recently, Tyler, The Creator thought back on the significant influence of his eighth album, calling it “a great feeling.”

He stated on his Instagram Stories, “Thank you to everyone who has listened, skimmed, put it on repeat, turned off, loved it, hated it, grew on, grown off, related to, was foreign to, anything.”

“Any ears are greatly appreciated. Since I’m in a different stage of life than I was when most of you first met me, sharing these ideas or emotions that I may or may not have mentioned in passing before felt like a huge relief, and it’s a wonderful feeling to see so many of you share it. Thank you.
