The Grammy Award-winning artist appears to be one step closer to releasing a sequel to 2021’s “MONTERO.”

Lil Nas X is getting ready for a new album. The “Old Town Road” singer posted a promotional video on Sunday, November 10, in which he ostensibly reenacts the story of Noah’s Ark for “phase one” of his next period.

The title card says, “He disappeared when the world needed him most, but he’s back and better now.” Fans can also witness an all-white version of his leather motorcycle suit and helmet from the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.

Lil Nas X revealed that “Light Again” will be available on streaming services on Friday, November 15, along with the teaser. In the comments area, someone said, “We [are] about to be eating good.” Another Instagram user wrote, “Why do I have a feeling this is really about to carry?”

Since 2021’s MONTERO, which featured his number-one single with Jack Harlow, “INDUSTRY BABY,” along with “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)” and “THATS WHAT I WANT,” the Georgia rapper has not released an album. Elton John, Miley Cyrus, Megan Thee Stallion, and Doja Cat were among the others who contributed to the project.

It’s interesting to note that Lil Nas X tried to get Drake and Nicki Minaj, two more well-known artists, on the album. “Drake replied… He was still working on Certified Lover Boy and whatnot, and he was 100 percent focused on that,” he explained in an interview with “The Breakfast Club.” This was only a few weeks ago, and I fully understood.

The hitmaker has released more hits since then. Skaiwater and 9lives’ “light!” are just two of the many features that Lil Nas X has contributed to. “Tennessee” by Kevin Abstract and “HE KNOWS” by Camila Cabello.
