So Icy Millionaire, a new record label, is being launched by Gucci Mane. The Atlanta rap pioneer revealed on Thursday, July 4, that he would be signing a single male and female talent for a sum of $1 million apiece.
In an Instagram video, he said, “That’s what I’m willing to invest in my next superstar ’cause I’m starting a whole new label.” “So, who would like to sign to my new label? I’m trying to find my next big male star.”
Gucci’s wife Keyshia Ka’oir accepted his proposition. “F**k y’all haters,” she said, mocking their critics. “I got a million plus some extras that I’m still counting up for the next female artist.”
Following the incarceration of multiple former 1017 Records artists, Gucci has made a declaration. After removing his ankle monitor—which had been provided to him during probation in relation to a 2015 burglary conviction—Foogiano was sentenced to five years in prison in 2021. Pooh Shiesty was sentenced to five years and three months in prison by a judge after entering a guilty plea to federal conspiracy charges pertaining to a shooting that occurred in South Florida in 2020.
Enchanting died in June 2024. At one point, she was also signed to the “I Get the Bag” rapper’s label. In response to criticism for both her untimely passing and the catastrophic downfall of Gucci’s former label, Ka’oir said, “Leave my husband alone! He appoints these [artists] in order to support and improve their lives! I hope things weren’t this way! We adore you, Chant, sweet baby girl! Notably, Enchanting passed away fewer than two years after Big Scarr, a musician from Memphis, overdosed on drugs and died.
Gucci published Breath of Fresh Air in 2023. Among the 24 tracks on the album were “There I Go,” which featured J. Cole and Mike WiLL Made-It, “Bluffin,” which included Lil Baby, and “King Snipe,” which featured Kodak Black. Key Glock, Young Dolph, DaBaby, 21 Savage, and Nardo Wick all contributed extra.
He collaborated with Hot Boys rapper B.G. on Choppers & Bricks, his follow-up to the full-length project.
