GloRilla is the top female rapper in the industry for 2024, as stated by Billboard’s year-end rankings.

On Wednesday (December 4), the publication revealed their selections for the top 10 female rappers of the year, with Big Glo securing the number one position. Detracting from her are the subsequent:

2. Megan Thee Stallion
3. Nicki Minaj
4. Sexyy Red
5. Latto
6. Doechii
7. Doja Cat
8. JT
9. Rapsody
10. Cardi B

Observing that Glo experienced a minor sophomore slump in 2023 after tracks like the Fivio Foreign-featured “Cha Cha” didn’t perform as well as her breakthrough hits “F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” and “Tomorrow 2” from the previous year, Billboard emphasizes how she “made a powerful return and regained her spark when she scored big with ‘Yeah Glo!’ at the start of 2024.”

“The confident track surged into the top 30 of the Hot 100, highlighting her determination as a rapper who won’t give in to pressure,” journalist Carl Lamarre states. “Her intense run persisted with the chart-topping Hot 100 track ‘Wanna Be’ featuring Megan Thee Stallion and the summer anthem ‘TGIF.’”

Lamarre went on: “Everyone sensed GloRilla’s rise, with pop giants Rihanna and Taylor Swift praising her achievements, hailing her as rap’s latest ‘IT’ girl right now. Kamala Harris even called her near the end of her campaign to appeal to young voters during her competition against Trump.

“The metaphorical cherry on top arrived when GloRilla achieved the highest opening week in 2024 for a female rapper, as her debut album GLORIOUS debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 with 69,000 album-equivalent units – doubling the launch of her spring mixtape Ehhthang Ehhthang.”

GloRilla has supporters everywhere, and for Halloween, even Ciara donned a costume as the Memphis icon.

CiCi went on Instagram to display her costume, which perfectly matched the attire Big Glo donned in her recent interview with Complex, including the oversized hoop earrings and “YWR” necklace.

The “1, 2 Step” artist enhanced her impersonation by replicating GloRilla’s interview, which became famous for her strong Memphis accent and the way she pronounced words like “newsfeed,” “cute,” and “beautiful.”

In the video, Ciara raps together with Sexyy Red to Glo’s popular track “Whatchu Kno About Me.”

CiCi’s work caught the attention of GloRilla, who jumped into her comments to express her approval, stating: “Lmaoooo CICI OMG [crying face emojis] [smiling face with heart-eyes emojis] [smiling face with hearts emojis].”

She shared the video on her personal Instagram and wrote: “One thing about it CICI will definitely slay Halloween lmao I love this @ciara.”

Ciara responded: “Haha:) Love you Glo! [smiling face with hearts emoji] [face blowing a kiss emoji].”
