The two artists appropriately donned white and red for the snow-laden visual accompaniment.

GloRilla and Kehlani are delivering the festive vibes with their new track, “Xmas Time.” At midnight on Friday (Dec. 13), the duo released their holiday-themed track, marking their unexpected first collaboration.

In the provided video, Kehlani, clad in a fur-accented leather jacket, performed a celestial refrain about “such moments with my family.” At the same time, GloRilla, dressed in all-white for the event, reflected on her childhood Christmases and expressed gratitude to her parents for having “birthed a baddie.”

“It’s that season to receive precisely what you’re hoping for/ It’s time to gather with those who uplift your spirits/ It’s the moment for hugs and kisses beneath the mistletoe/ Not for me since I’m a P, but best of luck to your partner/ This is as joyful as I’m feeling,” she began the first verse of the track.

GloRilla and Kehlani have experienced an abundance of milestones this year, as both artists have toured and released two projects. In October, the Memphis artist released her eagerly anticipated debut album, GLORIOUS. The 15-track project was driven by the T-Pain collaboration “I LUV HER,” “HOW I LOOK” featuring Megan Thee Stallion and the summer hit “TGIF.”

GloRilla kicked off 2024 powerfully with “Yeah Glo!” and “Wanna Be” — her first of three collaborations with Megan so far — both of which were included in April’s Ehhthang Ehhthang. The CMG rapper and her Houston colleague subsequently embarked on their “Hot Girl Summer Tour.”

Kehlani, in contrast, released their Grammy-nominated CRASH in June, prior to singles such as “After Hours” and “Next 2 U.” Further input was provided by Omah Lay, Jill Scott, and Young Miko. Looking back on the project, the singer characterized it as their “most liberated, most enjoyable, most vibrant, most energized” self.

By August, only weeks prior to their worldwide tour, Kehlani launched While We Wait 2. It featured guest appearances from FLO, Lucky Daye, Vince Staples, and DESTIN CONRAD, among others.
