The French Open women’s doubles winners, Coco Gauff and Katerina Siniakova, defeated Italian duo Jasmine Paolini and Sara Errani 7-6 (7-5) 6-3 to claim the title. Twenty-year-old American Gauff won her maiden major doubles championship in Paris, while her Czech partner took home her eighth and third titles. After losing to world No. 1 Iga Swiatek in the women’s final on Saturday, Paolini suffered her second Grand Slam final loss in as many days.

After defeating Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori 7-5 6-3 on Saturday, Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic were the winners of the men’s doubles trophy. Gauff was playing alongside Siniakova for the first time at a major after Jessica Pegula, Gauff’s regular partner, withdrew from the competition due to an injury. Together, she and Pegula had already advanced to the Paris final in 2022. US Open singles champion Gauff stated, “Thank you Katerina for playing with me. We decided to do it two days before the tournament started.” It was decidedly impromptu. Thank you for asking; I didn’t intend to play doubles.”
