Social media responds to Drake apparently taking shots at LeBron James, Demar DeRozan, and Kendrick Lamar in his recently deleted “Fighting Irish Freestyle.”

Drake and LeBron James share a well-known relationship that appears to have been tested since James went to Kendrick Lamar’s Juneteenth concert, The Pop Out: Ken & Friends. Drake’s recently surfaced “Fighting Irish Freestyle” contains lines that fans utilize to uncover the core of the conflict between the two ex-friends.

On Friday (Jan. 3), renowned producer Conductor Williams shared a now-removed video on his YouTube channel that rapidly circulated on social media. Throughout the song, the “Knife Talk” artist declared, “The world embraced the antics, even my siblings secured tickets/ They appeared to enjoy every moment/ Just remember this is personal for us, and it wasn’t merely commercial.” Supporters believe this statement was aimed at James and DeMar DeRozan attending The Pop Out.

Later in the song he rapped, “’Remember we were swapping watches? I provided you with that Arabic dial, you provided me with a numbered version/ You would even inquire about my son like a doctor/ Truly convinced the crew this nonsense was based in affection when it’s not.” Not long after, he remarked, “Claiming we’re family, but I’m not the cousin to drop by/ God forbid we should ever damage your reputation/ All that brother talk like I truly found a sibling/ Six degrees, my mind’s recalling our modest origins.”

These lines appeared to be connected to his bond with James, whom he even has inked on his arm. The tattoo showcases an image of the NBA champion donning his high school jersey from St. Vincent-St. Mary’s Fighting Irish, featuring James’ iconic No. 23. In reference to the supposed diss track, radio host Bootleg Kev remarked, “Drake insulted LeBron James, a person whose portrait he has tattooed on his arm.” You can’t invent this nonsense. “I swear, Aubrey has become a master at playing the victim.”

Another user mentioned, “I’m a larger Drake fan compared to Dot fan.” However, Dot referencing Drake’s cultural background resonated deeply because Drake does things that are hard to justify. Informing a guy you have inked on you ‘don’t want to damage your public reputation’ [because] he attended a concert of someone you dislike is DEFINITELY sassy.”

Drake has been hinting at his upcoming album with PARTYNEXTDOOR, but it appears he has still been preparing his verses just in case anyone wants to challenge him once more. The “Fighting Irish Freestyle” is not officially accessible on streaming platforms, and there is no projected release date currently.
