Asari Dokubo, a former insurgent from the Niger Delta, has urged Nigerians to pray for President Bola Tinubu instead of casting curses at him, threatening to have himself cursed.

Nigerians were braced for a potential statewide #EndBadGovernance demonstration over the weekend, as Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, the minister of women’s affairs, exhorted women to forgo taking legal action.

At the ceremony, Mr. Dokubo addressed a group of women and stated, “To save this country, we need to support the president right now.” Politics should be put aside by everyone.

“Those of you who can pray, pray for Mr. President,” Mr. Dokubo continued. It is said in every religion to “pray for your leaders.” The president is eating official cuisine in Aso Rock when you are cursing him. He will not be affected by the curse. It would initially affect you.
