Eminem’s Grammy-nominated album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) has reached over one million streams on Spotify since its release in July. As of November 21, the album has accumulated 1.3 million streams, according to an updated report from KWORB.
The album is nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards, with its lead single “Houdini” also in the running for Best Rap Performance and Best Music Video.
This has been a significant year for Eminem, who was recently named one of 26 nominees for the 2025 Songwriters Hall of Fame (SHOF). Songwriters become eligible for induction 20 years after releasing their first major commercial song.
The inductees will be announced at the 2025 Induction & Awards Gala on June 12 in New York City. The SHOF highlighted five of Eminem’s songs—”Lose Yourself,” “Stan,” “Mockingbird,” “Houdini,” and “Rap God”—as representative of his catalog.
Voting for the induction is open until December 22.In other news, Eminem is reportedly making a surprise appearance in the upcoming Happy Gilmore sequel, starring alongside Adam Sandler.
The U.S. Sun reported last week that a “source” revealed Marshall Mathers, also known as Eminem, traveled to New Jersey on November 6 to film scenes for the Happy Gilmore sequel.
The source shared that Eminem is a big fan of the original Happy Gilmore movie and was a pleasure to work with on set. They described him as “super low key,” without a large entourage, and said he was an “absolute delight” to have around.
The source also mentioned that Eminem displayed “good comedic acting skills” and had a lot of fun in his comedic role.If the Sun’s report is accurate, Eminem won’t be the only rapper in the sequel—Kid Cudi has also been cast to star in the film.
