Eminem has joined Drake as the only rapper to achieve 50 billion Spotify streams, however he is still a long way from catching up to the Six God.

On Monday (August 5), X site HipHopAllDayy revealed that Em had reached the 50 billion threshold on the streaming platform, joining only six other artists who have done so.

Drake is one of them, leading the group with 101 billion streams overall. Taylor Swift comes in second with 88b, followed by Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran with 54b, The Weeknd with 67b, and Bad Bunny with 83b.

Em’s latest album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), which debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 last month with 281,000 equivalent album units, contributed to the new milestone. It also boasted 114,000 sales equivalent units, making it the second largest digital launch of the year.

With first-week sales surpassing Future and Metro Boomin’s previous record of 251,000 units sold with We Don’t Trust You, it becomes the biggest rap launch of 2024.

With this album, Em has matched Bruce Springsteen, Barbra Streisand, and Kanye West as the only artists with 11 No. 1 albums. The Beatles (19), JAY-Z (also 14), Drake (13), and Swift (14), are the only artists with more.

Additionally, the album’s first week of sales exceeded both the release weeks of Slim Shady’s previous albums, Music to be Murdered By (2020) and Revival (2017, 267,000).
