Elliott Wilson apologized for their previous altercation, but he doesn’t understand why Nicki Minaj seems to still harbor animosity toward him.

HipHopDX’s The Bigger Picture, which premieres on Saturday, August 10, features an interview with veteran Hip Hop writer Nicki regarding her recent criticism of him and her claim that he has been posting disparaging content about her online.

The rapper Young Money made a subtle allusion to Wilson, 53, when he spoke on Stationhead earlier this week. He said, “If someone were the age of, say, 53… do you think they should be messy on the internet? Don’t you feel horrible for them since they didn’t acquire enough money before they reached that age if they had to be dirty online in order to obtain their money?

She also made the implication that people who criticize her online are being paid to do so and that they ought to “retire.”

“I challenge the Barbz, and any little internet detective: where in the fuck have I dissed Nicki Minaj since December?” Wilson responds to Nicki’s remarks.

In reference to the mockingly titled photo he shared of Nicki Minaj twerking on Kai Cenat’s Twitch show last year, the former editor-in-chief of XXL was alluding to his criticism of prominent artists for shunning Hip Hop media in favor of other platforms.

Later, Wilson took down the message and expressed regret to Cenat and Minaj, but not before incurring the wrath of the “Super Bass” star.

The last time YN shared anything negative about Nicki on the internet, he maintains, was when he conducted an interview with her for his CRWN series back in 2012.

He goes on, “Why is she insulting me in front of her crazy fan base, her Barbz?” She has it in her head that I’m attacking her negatively on social media or the internet. She doesn’t know what the fuck I’m doing on Twitter because, first of all, she blocked me.

“But where are the receipts from the Barbz?” co-host DJ Hed asks, interrupting after Nicki Minaj’s high profile artist is probably kept abreast of any bad coverage of her. Nothing I’ve done has affected her! Why now, after all these months? This occurred in December, and it is currently August. What, nine months later, is that?

He continues, citing his previously cited post: “I removed it because I felt bad about doing it. However, she claims that I’m always using the internet to try to harm her career. Barbz, that’s simply playing to her. I have not wronged her in any way. Apart from that action, nothing happens. There isn’t any evidence!

According to Wilson, one idea underlying Nicki Minaj’s complaints is that he has been clandestinely collaborating with longtime friend JAY-Z and Roc Nation in order to “build Megan Thee Stallion into a rival of hers.”

Wilson refutes that claim by saying, “If you visit my feed, I don’t even post Meg that often! I think I post about Ice Spice more often than Meg. However, she also has an issue with Ice Spice.

Then, I’ve always maintained that I adore Cardi B and that it is impossible to adore both Cardi B and Nicki. I consider Nicki to be the greatest of all time, and I thought Cardi was the best at the moment for a very long time.

“I understand that aspect, but I haven’t said anything particularly hurtful to Nicki since that one incident in December,” he continues. “So why did she wake me up yesterday at random and start talking incoherently about things during her Stationhead secret society council meeting with her Barbz? She refers to me as 53 years old, so it’s obvious she’s talking about me.

Wilson, a 30-plus-year veteran of the hip-hop industry, is also upset that Nicki and other people are making fun of him for being older: “Why is everyone making fun of me because I’m older? Hold on. Fifty-muthafucking-three is my age. You need to be appreciating my longevity and the fact that I’m still that n-gga and the man I am.

Look forward to watching the entire Bigger Picture episode on DX’s YouTube channel tomorrow.
