Ella Mai and Jayson Tatum are apparently expecting a child, though the couple has yet to confirm the news. Speculation began after a video leaked on social media on Tuesday (June 18).
The video featured the “Boo’d Up” singer with a prominent baby bump in the locker room hallway. She was also seen attending an NBA finals afterparty. Tatum, who plays for the Boston Celtics, won his first title by defeating the Dallas Mavericks in Game 5 on Monday (June 17).
Mai was present to support the power forward, who scored 31 points, 8 rebounds, and 11 assists. She even donned a green jersey with the number 0 on it.
“Proof that if you want privacy, you can absolutely have it,” someone remarked in The Neighborhood Talk’s comment area. Another user stated, “They [are] married.” I guess you just believed she was still with her boyfriend. That’s ridiculous, yet it appears they’re a private relationship.”
According to PEOPLE, the pair started dating in 2020. Two years later, during an interview with “The Breakfast Club,” she was questioned about their purported relationship. DJ Envy baited Mai, “There’s rumors that you’re a Boston Celtics fan,” to which she answered, “Oh really?”
“They claim you’re a Boston Celtics fan, possibly dating a Boston Celtic. Is there any truth to that?” he inquired. However, the “Trip” artist added, “I’m a basketball fan for sure, but you know I’m not one to discuss my dating life.”
Mai has remained very quiet since the release of her sophomore album, Heart On My Sleeve. Lucky Daye, Latto, and Roddy Ricch made guest appearances on the 15-track album. It also featured notable tracks such as “DFMU,” “Leave You Alone,” and “Power Of A Woman,” to name a few. She’s also done a few films since then, including Kiana Ledé’s “Jealous.”
