According to reports, the fight was sparked by a financial dispute over the music video for their next song “Wemby.”
Offset had a rough voyage to Paris. The French rapper Gazo and the “Ric Flair Drip” artist got into a fight outside the Hôtel du Collectionneur on Wednesday, November 13.
As Offset and his entourage were leaving the hotel, a group of males confronted them, according to a video that TMZ posted. As they were followed outside to their SUV, the confrontation intensified. Offset was reportedly grabbed close to the car by someone, despite his security team’s efforts to maintain order. “Give me up,” he yelled.
Before being led back into the hotel, Offset finally managed to escape and kick back in retaliation. A woman was even thrown against the pavement at one point in the video.
The outlet claims that the confrontation occurred because of a financial disagreement between Offset and Gazo, who allegedly refused to reimburse $150,000 for a video shoot. The French musician revealed that their first-ever collaboration, “Wemby,” which is part of his upcoming album, Apocalypse, will be available on streaming services on November 29 at the same time as the footage of the incident went viral.
Offset’s 2024 has been, to put it mildly, an adventure. On the one hand, he and Cardi B welcomed their third child together; they also have a son named Wave and a daughter named Kulture. However, earlier in the year, she filed for divorce.
It was anticipated that Offset would release a new solo album around the beginning of 2025. Fans were instead treated to a list of rather noteworthy features, including “Style Rare” with Gunna, “Risk Taker” by Blxst, and “EXIT 9” by Killer Mike.
With hits including “JEALOUSY,” “SAY MY GRACE,” and “FAN,” his album SET IT OFF made its debut at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart in 2023. Offset made his first solo appearance since the breakup of Migos to support the LP.
