Drake was given a present by PETA, the animal rights group, as a result of his OVO clothing line deciding to stop using animal fur in its items.

PETA announced that they had gifted the Canadian rapper with a package of plant-based chocolate bunnies to express gratitude for discontinuing the use of authentic fur in their clothing line.

The organization also mentioned in a statement: “Let’s raise a glass to @champagnepapi! October’s Very Own (OVO), a clothing and lifestyle brand cofounded by Canadian rapper Drake, has announced that it will cease selling items made from genuine animal fur.

The choice was made after PETA and over 100,000 supporters of the organization sent emails urging the brand to stop using fur, including fur from rabbits and coyotes. As a token of gratitude, we have sent the organization some tasty vegan chocolates in the shape of bunnies.

PETA commented that OVO is now in line with most fashion companies by rejecting the fur industry for its extreme cruelty. Fur should only be on the animals it naturally grows on, not used for clothing or any other purpose.

Although Drake is currently favored by animal rights activists, Pharrell Williams was recently faced with critics at the premiere of his film Piece by Piece.

Pharrell, who serves as the creative director of menswear for Louis Vuitton, angered protesters in Canada due to the brand’s use of animal fur.

An unidentified woman protester shouted, “Cease animal torture!” while displaying a sign that said, “Pharrell: Stop.”

Pharrell remained calm as he replied to the protester: “You’re correct.” You are correct. You are correct. “May God bless you,” she said before encouraging the audience to clap for her.

Louis Vuitton has not made any updates to its animal fur usage policies, even after Pharrell’s remarks.

Last year, the rapper, producer, and fashion designer faced criticism from PETA for his “Millionaire” Speedy bag collaboration with Louis Vuitton.

The high-end product, valued at an astounding $1 million, was crafted from crocodile hide, upsetting activists who accused him of being cruel to animals.
