Drake appears to be dismissing his loss to Kendrick Lamar, stating in a recent song leak that he is indifferent to rap conflicts.
Several unreleased tracks from the 6 God’s collection emerged on Thursday (January 2), featuring one where he raps: “Forget a rap feud, I’m aiming to get the party energized.”
The lively, upbeat track features mentions of Lil Durk and 21 Savage (who seems to collaborate on the song) as Drizzy raps: “Durk’s homie said ‘Marvin’s Room’ was his top track, he was vibing to it / A thousand dudes spitting murder bars and only about 10 dudes who’d actually act on it / Savage, you’re the only dude checking on me when we’re truly in trouble, bro.”
It’s uncertain if Drake laid down the track and if it occurred prior to or following his well-publicized conflict with Kendrick.
The collection of leaks features clips of unnamed collaborations between Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR, apparently meant for their forthcoming joint album.
Although Drake stopped addressing Kendrick Lamar musically after the lukewarm reception to “The Heart Part 6,” his reply to “Not Like Us,” he has persisted in subtly targeting his intense rival through alternative channels.
In November, while appearing on Canadian streamer xQc’s Kick channel, the Toronto-born individual delivered a bold message directed at his adversaries.
“I’m present — mind, body, and spirit completely whole, if that was on your mind.” “You must present evidence to remove me; myths won’t suffice,” he asserted.
He appeared to be alluding to Kendrick’s multiple accusations in his diss tracks, claiming that Drake is a pedophile, has connections with other sex offenders, and secretly has a daughter.
The Compton kingpin responded to the remarks in a text chat with a close friend that was posted online, saying: “Is he trippin??!”
Recently, Drake poked fun at Kendrick’s “Euphoria” line, “When I see you stand by Sexyy Red, I believe you see two bad bitches,” during a Christmas giveaway broadcast with Adin Ross.
K. Dot, on his end, has mostly stayed quiet since being considered the victor of their rap battle, though fans have identified potential subtle jabs in his GNX album and Super Bowl announcement clip.
