The “Scarlet” singer posted a list of 13 song names in “no particular order” in a since-deleted post.
Doja Cat is currently finishing up her next project, even though she has previously graced fans with Scarlet and its enlarged edition, Scarlet 2 CLAUDE, in recent years.
The Grammy Award-winning artist revealed song titles from what fans assume to be her upcoming fifth studio album in a since-deleted post on Monday, November 11. The songs included “[her] favorites” including “Cards,” “Acts of Service,” “Make It Up,” “Did I Lie,” and “Crack.” “Break My Heart,” “Anything,” “Aint News,” “Turn the Lights On,” “Slow Burn,” “Wood Holly,” “Take Me Dancing,” and “Appreciation” completed the remaining 13 tracks in the compilation.
Doja wrote on X, “Songs are in no particular order.” She also tweeted, “Five love languages,” which is likely a reference to the names themselves and includes words of affirmation, physical touch, giving and receiving presents, quality time, and acts of service.
When the “Say So” singer posted the word “album” on social media in October, fans began searching for hints. The post has received around 6,000 comments and over 135,000 likes so far, with one user encouraging, “Let’s get a date.”
“Paint The Town Red” and “Attention,” both of which received nominations at the 66th annual Grammy Awards, were featured on 2023’s Scarlet. “Demons” and the TikTok viral “Agora Hills” were among the other selections from the body of work.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Doja Cat stated, “This new album is more introspective, but I’m not leaning so hard into that to where it becomes boring.” “I want to share bops and stories.” It’s a good blend of both. This endeavor, in my opinion, is a great entertaining platform for me to discuss my life and showcase my rapping abilities. However, I’m not giving up on my identity or my knowledge of pop, singing, and that genre of music.
