Doechii has unveiled the complete cinematic wonder that is her music video for “Denial Is A River” – after a somewhat mysterious promotion that left fans curious about its content.

In anticipation of the video’s launch on Thursday (January 2), the TDE rapper shared several amusing teaser clips reminiscent of 90s sitcoms from what she called the Denial Is A River Show. This prompted rumors that she could be releasing an entire series, but it appears they were cleverly designed promos shot during the process of creating the music video for the song Alligator Bites Never Heal, featuring a notable array of guests like Zack Fox, Earl Sweatshirt, Teezo Touchdown, DJ Miss Milan, ScHoolboy Q, SiR, Baby Tate, Rickey Thompson, and H Wood.

In the end, Doechii and her friends host a wild house party where she raps about her journey to fame over recent years—capping it all off with a literal bang as the soundstage-set detonates.

Doechii is also presently anticipating her highly awaited debut album, set to release in 2025.

The Florida native recently spoke about the project in an interview with Variety, disclosing that it will feature a lot of live instrumentation.

“All that’s on my mind is this album, so I’m eager to create more hits, produce more music, and reach more of my objectives,” she expressed. “That’s all.”

Doechii has recently garnered accolades from her Hip Hop predecessors, with Killer Mike being the most recent to express significant admiration for her.

While talking at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, the Atlanta rap icon expressed to her: “You really are an artist.” You aren’t a rapper hoping to become one; you have been an artist.

“You select rap to narrate a tale, yet visually, [the cover of Alligator Bites Never Heal] is impressive.” “It clearly demonstrates to me that the South has given rise to an artist like you.”

He added: “Numerous other artists hail from Florida, but you are currently leading the way.” “I believe you are currently the top figure in rap.”
