Digital Nas, a collaborator of Kanye West, is unhappy with the way the credits for Ye and Ty Dolla $ign’s popular song “Carnival” have been listed.
The producer launched into a furious tirade on social media by sharing a screenshot of an email from A&R Matt Geffen, informing Digital Nas that his work on the Vultures 1 tune had not been confirmed by fellow producers Morning Estrada, 88-Keys, and Traxster.
“I’ll give you some background on how these vulture-ass n-ggas operate,” Digital Nas continued. “You are needed by Ye and Carti,” Fritz [Owens, engineer] texted me. I visit that place. “No, what must we do to “Carnival”?” I urged Ye to rewrite his verse and told them to do whatever that needs to be done.
“Carnival” becomes number one after receiving a fucking Grammy nomination. This fucking man Matt Geffen appears out of nowhere and wants to control stuff when they’re processing the papers.
“I’m showing you all this to let you know how many vultures there are in this music industry,” he added. They’re fighting over crumbs, these n-ggas. “Carnival” earned $47,000 after it was published.
“These n-ggas lack talent and are old as fuck.” However, they attempt to claim that they did anything on the song when they didn’t do anything by using the sound of young n-ggas! However, they remove the n-ggas that truly committed crap on the record!
“Oh, certainly, let Nas handle that when it comes to minor records like “Paperwork.” “No, he ain’t do shit on that,” however, when it’s a major record that reached the top of the charts. Fuck you all, you n-ggas!
The producer’s complaint has not yet received a response from Ty Dolla $ign or Kanye West.
With his recent criticism of Tyler, The Creator’s highly regarded new album Chromakopia, Digital Nas is no stranger to making contentious remarks.
Nas tried to dampen Tyler’s enthusiasm after he revealed the project last month on Instagram, with a remark that read, “Omg here we go again the same album made all over again with these gay ass Tyler the Creator chords and weak ass Pharrell drums.”
On his Instagram Stories, Nas, who has collaborated with Playboi Carti and Lil Yachty in addition to Kanye West, further disparaged the album, writing: “Not buying it.” It’s time for something fresh. Permit me to fuck in!
Tyler took notice of the harsh remarks and responded sarcastically in a private chat to the Donda beatmaker (which was eventually leaked online): “I FEEL YOU THIS TYLER GUY IS A FAGGOT BRO DONT BUY IT [zombie emoji].”
“When u can make something this level we can talk,” Nas responded in the direct message, offering Tyler a link to his most recent single, “LO’S V4”
