Coi Leray and Trippie Redd have revealed that they are expecting to welcome their first child together, just months after reigniting their romance.
Coi shared the news on Wednesday (January 1) by uploading several pictures of herself on Instagram, featuring one showcasing her noticeable baby bump and another with Trippie embracing her pregnant belly.
The “Players” creator wrote in the post: “I’m a rock star mom, we’re prepared for 2025.”
The 27-year-old additionally shared a detailed update on her Instagram Stories, featuring a close-up of her belly along with the caption: “I’m over 4 months.” “I’m definitely very tiny, naturally.”
Coi Leray and Trippie Redd just revealed that they rekindled their relationship in August.
The two rappers embraced and shared a heartfelt kiss on stage during a concert, greatly pleasing the audience.
In an Instagram post that has since been removed, Coi stated: “I appreciate you showing up for my final show day in Ohio @trippieredd the world adores you, and so do I.”
Redd later disclosed to TMZ how he reconciled with Leray, stating: “I reached out and told her I missed her.” [We were feeling down for] a short time — we were simply chatting. “That’s my sweetheart.”
Trippie and Coi were in a brief relationship in 2019 before experiencing a highly public breakup, which motivated Trippie to express his sorrow in the track “Leray.”
“It was love from the moment we met and pain after two months / Constantly feeling messed up, whether from love or the lack of it,” the Ohio artist sang in the melancholic, acoustic tune.
He remarked, “You were just messing with my emotions since you were unaware of your own / I miss the person I believed you were / And at times I feel unhappy without you / So it feels as if you’re still around, damn.”
Coi revealed her perspective in a 2020 interview with No Jumper, referring to herself and Trippie as soulmates while acknowledging that the timing of their relationship was simply off.
“I encountered Trippie when he was around 19 years old and I was 21.” “We were simply young back then,” she stated. “I’m an emerging female artist; I was busy with many things and had a large team.” And he was dealing with many things at that time, as well.
