The almost frequent speculation that Ice Spice was having romantic feelings for fellow rapper Central Cee has been refuted.
Ice discussed her relationship with the British MC in a Rolling Stone profile that was released on Thursday, July 25, and she refuted any relationship rumors.
The vocalist of “Princess Diana” maintained that their relationship is platonic and that they just get along incredibly well.
“To be honest, we’ve been friends since ‘Munch’ came out,” the woman remarked. We are only identical twins.
The Bronx rapper mentioned a rapper with whom she isn’t especially close in that same interview.
She talked about her relationship with Nicki Minaj, her co-star on “Barbie World,” and the news isn’t all that great.
You know, we’re not the closest of friends. However, we’re doing great,” she informed RS. We have mutual ties. Together, we had hit records. I adore the two of us together. I believe that everyone else does.
Ice also went into further detail about texts she sent to Minaj a few months back, which were leaked, in which she vented her annoyance over the financial specifics of their “Barbie World” collaboration.
The “Munch” rapper remarked of Minaj, “I don’t really think she cares about shit like that coming from a random girl.” “However, my comments in those texts were merely an outburst during contract talks. I had an alternative list of words to use.
“But in the end, I will always respect [Nicki] as an artist and be grateful for everything she has done for the culture and for me, even if I didn’t feel that way at the time.”
The texts originally came to light on May 3 when Baby Storme, an aspiring rapper and singer, shared images of what appeared to be a discussion between the Bronx native and herself. By responding to Rolling Stone’s inquiries on the messages, Ice Spice seems to have attested to their veracity.
A woman identified by Baby Storme as Ice Spice claims to be in the screenshots and describes Minaj as “like her mom, ungrateful and delusional.” Additionally, it is said that Ice Spice was asked about working with Minaj on the Barbie soundtrack project because “that’s her brand.”
Ice Spice also states in a another post that the rapper from “Starships” is “jealous” of her “since I possess my own matters.”
