Based on documents filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Cardi B might have one or more album titles in mind.
Cardi’s company Washpoppin, Inc. filed for trademarks on two words late last month, with the intention of using them in “Pre-recorded record albums featuring music,” among other related purposes, according to TMZ.
“Defamation of character” and “Intrusive thoughts” are the terms.
Cardi wants to be able to use the terms for albums as well as “downloadable music files,” music videos, and other things.
Cardi hasn’t just been preoccupied with picking album titles, presumably. She has also been dispelling financial rumors.
The Bronx rapper referenced a tweet from a user on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, August 4, in a post that has since been removed. The tweet contained images of an article from British tabloid The Sun that stated the user might be millions late on her mortgage. The person took into consideration Cardi’s financial situation in addition to the images.
“To start with, The Sun is publishing unfounded rumors that you guys are sending false information about. for this reason, there are no documents—just word of mouth—in her writing. “Everyone receives a loan to buy a property, and I have never missed a payment on any of them. I paid about $12 million for my house in 2021, and now you can see how much money I still have left over.
“I’m really frugal with money; my bills always come before pleasures, and this month I spent $400,000 on jewels because I still know how to stick to a budget. Give up playing with me.
The rapper of “Press” also shared several screen grabs of text exchanges that seemed to be sent by her manager or PR to Cardi and another individual regarding the incorrect headline in The Sun. The piece that sparked Cardi’s outburst appears to have been removed as of this writing.
Page Six reports that the soon-to-be mother-of-three responded to claims that her and Offset were attempting to sell their Atlanta house “amid a’secret’ financial crisis” with a similar message on Monday, August 29.
