The artist known for ‘Invasion of Privacy’ believes “they’re going to elevate it” following the news of her second album.

Cardi B responded to allegations that she depends on brand collaborations after her recent deal with SHEIN. On Tuesday (Dec. 3), the “Bodak Yellow” rapper released a promotional clip for the fast-fashion brand’s holiday promotion, but it faced some backlash.

Later that evening, she joined Twitter Spaces and clarified, “People are claiming I’m only thriving through SHEIN and brand partnerships… I want to inform you all that I could wake up tomorrow, sign a deal, and I would have half of $65 million, or half of $70 million.”

As stated by the Grammy Award winner, the tour invitation was extended in September. In the screenshots she provided, the agreement featured $1.1 million for each show, $1.5 million for festival performances, and $65 million for a tour — contingent upon her fulfilling the required number of dates, which she understandably concealed.

“Keep in mind, this [is] my year off,” Cardi stressed. “I prefer not to accept tour offers until I reveal my album, as I’m certain they’ll increase once I make the announcement.” You need to act cleverly like a boss. “You shouldn’t pretend to be hungry, especially if you’re not.”

Cardi has not been active in her performances lately. In May, she stunned audiences during Megan Thee Stallion’s “Hot Girl Summer Tour” at Madison Square Garden with a performance of “WAP.” The next month, she performed “I Like It” and “Up” at the 2024 BET Experience event.

During her Twitter Spaces session, Cardi disclosed, “I spend approximately [$3 million] each month.” Though the figure may appear astonishing, it’s not unexpected considering the triumph of her first album, Invasion of Privacy, collaborations with brands such as NYX, and her vodka-infused Whipshots, along with additional projects planned for 2025.

On that note, the New York native declared that her second album will be released in the coming year, although a title or exact date has not been disclosed yet. “Next year, my album will release, and my hidden projects will be revealed — I can’t disclose what I’m involved in,” she informed fans in November.
