In recent documents submitted by the blogger in their ongoing legal battle, Cardi B is accused of trying to silence Tasha K.
TMZ was the first to notice Tasha’s assertion, submitted in federal bankruptcy court on Tuesday (January 7) and seen by HipHopDX. Tasha claims that Cardi is not “acting in her financial interest, but aims to silence Debtor by concluding her bankruptcy case and her Career.”
Tasha is upset over Cardi’s effort last month to dismiss the YouTuber’s bankruptcy case. Tasha had submitted a bankruptcy claim in 2023.
Bardi alleged that Tasha and her spouse had “devised a prolonged scheme to obstruct, postpone, and deceive” the Bronx rapper’s attempts to retrieve the $3.9 million she secured from Tasha after filing a lawsuit against the blogger in 2019, due to what she thought was a harmful smear campaign featuring multiple false claims about her.
Tasha now claims that Cardi’s effort to dismiss the bankruptcy case is truly a covert attempt to mute her voice. She claims that Cardi is demanding a non-disparagement clause that is “so extensive that it would jeopardize [Tasha’s] Career.”
“She aims to undermine Debtor’s Career by imposing unjust limitations on her First Amendment rights,” the document adds. “After unsuccessful attempts to intimidate Debtor into agreeing to a broad non-disparagement clause, Claimant submitted the Motion to Dismiss to damage Debtor’s Career and conclude Debtor’s bankruptcy case.”
Alongside her ongoing feud with Tasha K, Cardi has been occupied completing her second album — and she’s going to great lengths to achieve that.
During the weekend, the Bronx star streamed live on social media to announce that in the “very important” month of January, she aimed to steer clear of anything that might distract her from her creative ambitions, including sexual activities.
