Rob49 and Cardi B unveiled their first-ever collaboration on Tuesday, July 9. The new song, titled “ON DAT MONEY,” will be available for streaming on July 19.
Both musicians released video of themselves from the video shoot in addition to the song itself. Yes, motherf**kers, there is something coming. Fire. Cardi stated, “Right there on that money b**ch.” “F**k me on that money, b**ch,” Rob49 continued.
The up-and-coming rapper then left a comment beneath her Instagram photo that read, “I like yo’ style I ain’t gon’ lie.”
The feature run of the New York rap artist will continue with “ON DAT MONEY.” In March, she made her debut with SZA on Flo Milli’s “Never Lose Me,” and then she sang a guest verse on Shakira’s “Puntería.” Cardi was tapped by longtime collaborators Megan Thee Stallion and GloRilla for “Wanna Be (Remix)” in May, which was just two weeks prior to her involvement on Peso Pluma’s “PUT EM IN THE FRIDGE.”
Nevertheless, fans are still waiting for the next solo release from the creator of Invasion of Privacy. She declared in June that she wanted to dump something. Before revealing the truth, I want to drop a little tune. It’s really cruel. Extremely cruel. The rapper had whetted fans’ appetites with hits like “Enough (Miami)” and “Like What (Freestyle),” the latter of which featured a sample of “She’s a B**ch” by Missy Elliott.
Conversely, Rob49 and Skilla Baby concluded their “Vultures Eat The Most Tour” on July 2. In 2023, the New Orleans native released his highly regarded album 4GOD II. Among others, it featured features by DaBaby, G Herbo, YTB Fatt, Roddy Ricch, NoCap, and Trippie Redd. Among the surefire tunes were “Hate It or Love It,” “Shake Sum,” and “Flexing Hard.”
Moneybagg Yo and BossMan Dlow remixed the song “Homebody” from the project’s deluxe edition in June. Prior to the album, there were several loose singles like “Off Dat Drank” and “Wassam Baby” featuring Lil Wayne.
