“She’s my ultimate dream collaboration,” the “ocean eyes” artist shared with ‘Complex.’

Billie Eilish “genuinely believed” it was AI when she learned that Rihanna referred to her as a dream collaborator. In a cover story for Complex released on Thursday (Dec. 5), the Happier Than Ever vocalist expressed her respect for the “Umbrella” performer, whom she referred to as an “idol.”

“She is the best of all time,” Eilish told the outlet. “She’s the ultimate collaboration I dream of.” I don’t even respond to that question when folks ask, ‘Who would you want to collaborate with?’ However, I constantly consider Rihanna. “I won’t say that, however!”

She added, “What reason would I have to say that? It isn’t genuine. I might consider, like, ‘She likely doesn’t even care for me.’ “I’ve never had any contact with her nor have I interacted with her, so why would I have considered it at all?” Eilish humorously noted that a person like Rihanna likely never encounters the word “No”: “I’ll honestly do whatever you wish.”

In an October interview with Access Hollywood, Rihanna was questioned about her ideal collaborator, to which she replied, “If I could just do a song with Billie Eilish.” “She is really great.”

If the collaboration does take place, when fans might learn of it remains uncertain. Eilish released her third studio album, HIT ME HARD AND SOFT, in May. Accompanied by “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” and “WILDFLOWER,” the 10-track compilation reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Rihanna stands in a category by herself, particularly since her most recent project, ANTI, was released in 2016. The album, which entered the charts at No. 1 and has remained there, featured tracks such as “Consideration” with SZA, “Work” featuring Drake, “Needed Me,” and “Love On The Brain.” Fortunately, the Bajan singer has participated in numerous collaborations throughout the years, such as N.E.R.D.’s “Lemon,” DJ Khaled’s “Wild Thoughts,” and Kendrick Lamar’s “LOYALTY.”
