President Joe Biden has pledged to better the status of the Black community, a vital component of his electoral bloc, in an effort to energize more voters and expand his Democratic base. This suggests that Vice President Kamala Harris may succeed him.
Although Mr. Biden hinted that Ms. Harris might become the first biracial female president of the United States, he did not say whether he intended to step down in favor of her in the upcoming election.
“I am president and Kamala Harris is vice president because of you. At the annual meeting of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People in Las Vegas on Tuesday, Mr. Biden mentioned, “By the way, she’s not only a great vice-president, she could be president of the United States.”
The President of the United States said, “I adore the term ‘black jobs.'” Mr. Biden made reference to former President Donald Trump’s emphasis on “black jobs” as a campaign issue, saying, “It tells us a lot about the man and his character.”
Mr. Biden gave thought to Barack Obama’s momentous tenure as the country’s first Black president. The president emphasized that he was the first Black woman to be nominated to the Supreme Court.
