Team Beta, who emerged victorious from the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality TV show nomination challenge, is now the second couple spared from potential eviction this week.
Tjay and Ben, who were friends, demonstrated remarkable skill in the arena by maintaining their composure and guard during the obstacle relay, which mostly required speed and collaboration.
For the nomination challenge at the arena, the two faced off against 24 other housemates.
Each housemate had to cross the bins to get to a basket full of ping-pong balls during the game and transfer them to the other empty basket.
Until the last buzzer sounded, they were instructed to alternately go through the same procedure. With seven balls, Beta had the most after the challenge.
The two friends are therefore exempt from this week’s nominations, while all other pairs—aside from the Ndi Nne pair, who took on the role of the house’s first custodians—may face expulsion.
The Mbadiwe Twins, the inaugural heads of house (HoH) champions, could also face eviction, according to Biggie’s shocking and novel turn of events.
Biggie had previously said that HoH would not receive immunity, which is a significant departure from past seasons when they were protected from nominations for eviction and had the authority to reject the replacement of housemates.

The 71-day run of BBNaija is scheduled to conclude on October 6. The season winner in 2024 would take home a N100 million grand prize.
