Snoop Dogg demonstrated his athletic prowess during the Summer Olympics track and field tryouts for Team USA by winning a 200-meter sprint.
On Sunday, June 23, NBC, the American Olympic broadcaster, uploaded a video of Snoop demonstrating his sprinting prowess in Eugene, Oregon, on X (now Twitter).
The legendary West Coast rapper, who is wearing a Kobe Bryant shirt among other red, white, and blue stars and stripes clothing, is seen in the video busting a lunge as he finishes the race.
Snoop was thrilled with his speed after crossing the finish line quickly, saying, “34.44 for a 52-year-old? It’s not that horrible,” he said.
Snoop Dogg would be a part of NBCUniversal’s coverage of the 2024 Olympic Summer Games in Paris, it was confirmed back in January.
Snoop will discuss his “unique take” on the events with NBC Olympics anchor Mike Tirico, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Along with the Olympic games and festivities, he plans to “explore the city’s iconic landmarks and make visits to the athletes, their friends, and families.”
Snoop told the publication, “I grew up watching the Olympics and am thrilled to see the incredible athletes bring their A-game to Paris.” It’s an honoring of talent, commitment, and striving for excellence. There will be some incredible competitions, and I will undoubtedly add my signature Snoop style to the mix.
“It will be the most epic Olympics ever, so stay tuned and keep it locked,” he said. Let’s raise the bar, have fun, and create memories from these games. Let the best players win like gold. Olympic LOVE and peace, ya dig?
Snoop has been going to the gym like he has something to prove, even though he won’t be playing in the games.
When working out in an indoor basketball facility back in February, Tha Doggfather proudly flexed his bicep and rolled up his sleeves in a photo that he posted to Instagram.
“Staying strong [bicep flex emoji] @badabing33,” he wrote as the post’s caption. [two dove and prayer hands emojis].
Numerous Snoop fans, including some of his fellow rappers, praised his fitness results in the comments area.
DJ Whoo Kid penned: “Leave!” Big Hit, Hit-Boy’s father, responded with a fire emoji.
Several others complimented the 52-year-old on his dedication to maintaining his physical appearance, saying things like “Lookin good unc” and “Snoop pumping that iron!”
