On Thursday night, July 11, 2024, Serena Williams made a lighthearted reference to the ongoing rap feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar.

It’s also important to note that Williams was mentioned by the Compton lyricist in the hit song that ended the feud. Over DJ Mustard’s music, Kendrick Lamar spit out, “I’m glad DeRoz’ came home; y’all didn’t deserve him neither/ From Alondra down to Central, n**ga better not speak on Serena.”
Williams, on the other hand, seems to have devoted the entire season to promoting Kendrick Lamar’s now-viral anti-Drake song. At a recent panel discussion with Cari Champion at the 2024 ESSENCE Festival, she referred to it as the “hit of the summer.” “I’m jamming when they play that song. That’s a jam going down.
Williams and Drake were allegedly dating in 2015, two years after the rapper made a reference to her in “Worst Behavior.”
