At this year’s BET Awards, Usher is scheduled to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The network shared the news on Instagram on Thursday, May 30, writing, “We got a confession.” This year’s #BETAwards LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT HONOREE is U-S-H-E-R!
“On our stage, we have witnessed this icon provide us with EXCITING moments. It’s time for us to offer him his flowers at #CulturesBiggestNight in exchange for his kindness.
Previous winners of the honor include Queen Latifah, Diddy, Busta Rhymes, and Mary J. Blige.
At this year’s presentation, the R&B legend is also up for four BET Awards, including Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, Album of the Year (Coming Home), and Best Collaboration (“Good Good” with 21 Savage and Summer Walker).
