Cash Madam, also known as Khadijah Adebisi Edionseri, Iya Sunnah of Egbaland, passed away.
She apparently passed away following a brief illness.
89 was Ms. Edionseri’s age. On Sunday, she passed away.
In a statement, Adebayo Adebowale, a community leader and one of the deceased businesswoman’s children, confirmed her death.
We announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Princess Kadijat Abike Adebisi Edionseri (née Elegbede), on January 5, 2025, at the age of 89, after a brief illness. We are deeply grateful to Allah for a life well-lived, the statement said.
It went on to say, “Her life was a brilliant example of dignity, grace, and unfailing faith. Princess Edionseri’s generosity, wisdom, and commitment to her community and family impacted the lives of many.
“She left behind a legacy that will continue to inspire generations by teaching us the value of love, resiliency, and faith in Allah.”
In line with Islamic customs, the family says a funeral will take place at the deceased’s home in Abeokuta on Monday at 4:00 p.m.
