On Friday, November 15, fans will have the opportunity to “journey alongside” The Weeknd.

Hurry Up Tomorrow, The Weeknd’s next album, is still in the works. The singer-songwriter revealed his collaboration with Apple for the immersive experience “Open Hearts” on Monday, November 11.

The initiative is scheduled to launch on Friday, November 15, and will only be accessible through Apple’s Vision Pro augmented reality headset and a few chosen retail locations. An ambulance racing down a street opened the teaser video, which then showed the XO creator unlocking double doors to a brilliant light and taking off a dark cloak.

“Journey alongside The Weeknd through a surreal, haunting cityscape in this electrifying sonic voyage,” the description of the video suggested. It’s currently unknown if fans will be treated to brand-new music or previously released songs during the launch.

The Weeknd has released three tracks so far, the first of which is “Dancing In The Flames,” released in September, to hint to Hurry Up Tomorrow. The artist was shown driving a red convertible before it crashed in the accompanying visual endeavor for the song, which was completely captured on an iPhone 16 Pro. He was encircled by EMTs toward the end of the video.

In addition to collaborating with Playboi Carti on “Timeless” later that month, the Starboy creator and Anitta released “São Paulo” on Halloween. It’s important to note that during The Weeknd’s one-night performance earlier in the year, both songs were first heard in the Brazilian city.

The Canadian musician is also working on a movie that will be released in theaters in 2025 and will share the same title as his next album. He will co-star with Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan in the psychological thriller, while Daniel Lopatin will compose the music.

According to Adam Fogelson, chairman of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, “Abel is a visionary whose art cannot be confined by any single medium.” In collaboration with Trey, Hurry Up Tomorrow brings his musical universe to the big screen as a psychological thriller that will introduce moviegoers to a brand-new cinematic experience. We are ecstatic to be presenting it to audiences around the globe.
