André 3000 is emphasizing that OutKast supporters won’t be seeing the reunion they desire in the near future, stating that he and Big Boi are “further away than ever” from producing a new album.

3 Stacks participated in a comprehensive interview with Rolling Stone released on Thursday (December 12), during which he was questioned about the chance of a new album from the legendary duo or, at the very least, a new tour. Things appear grim for both.

“I would say around 10 to 15 years ago, I believed in my mind that an OutKast album would eventually take place,” he stated. “I’m uncertain about the future, but I can state that we are more distant from it than we have ever been.” I believe it’s a chemistry matter. We must have the desire to do it. Creating a rap is quite challenging for me, honestly. And at times I believe in ‘Allowing things to unfold.’

“It was an amazing period in life, and our chemistry was undeniably strong at that moment.” I believe the audience often feels that something must endure eternally, but I don’t share that view. I believe that any type of artistic expression is likely the contrary. It likely shouldn’t endure indefinitely. It isn’t similar to a product. Ultimately, we created a product, but its essence was defined by a specific period in our lives.

He added: “It’s not as if we’re Coca-Cola, where there’s a formula that you can always activate with a button and it will occur. I believe the spectators feel that way. However, the audience is never aware of the effort required to produce what they receive. “I cannot hold that against them.”

Regarding the possibility of a farewell tour, Dre remarked, “No, I don’t think so.” In 2014, we took a tour. I realized when I turned 25 that there would come a time when I wouldn’t want to perform those songs on stage anymore. They needed a specific energy. To be honest, I don’t really enjoy reflecting on the past. I simply am not. I appreciate all that has occurred, but it was a period. For me, that’s exactly what it is. “It was an amazing time, and I really wish you all could have been there.”

In October, it was reported that the Super Bowl will take place in OutKast’s hometown of Atlanta in 2028, sparking fans’ hopes for a reunion during the highly anticipated halftime show.

It’s important to mention, though, that the city where the major event takes place often does not align with local talent, except for Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg in Los Angeles in 2022. This became evident when it was revealed that Kendrick Lamar would headline Super Bowl LIX next year in New Orleans, despite demands for Lil Wayne to take the stage.
