Post Malone and Doja Cat have been revealed as the 2024 Global Citizen Fest’s main performers.
The yearly event, which takes place in Central Park in New York City on September 28, will also include Rauw Alejandro and Jelly Roll as headliners. Additional performers will be revealed in the upcoming weeks. Hugh Jackman will be hosting again.
“Drive action and encourage governments around the world to increase financial support for anti-poverty programs, protect and restore the Amazon rainforest, and improve equitable access to healthy food, stronger health care systems, and education,” states the press release describing the show’s goal for this year.
The Global Citizen app and the organization’s website are the places where fans may obtain tickets for the free performance.
Doja Cat released the following statement: “I’m thrilled to work with Global Citizen once more in Central Park this September to drive as much action as we can to make the world a better place. It’s been a few years since I was last on the Global Citizen Festival stage in Paris. Each of us may contribute in some way to the fight against severe poverty and in favor of equality. I’m excited to take part in this significant evening of progress.
Given that Post Malone has disclosed that his upcoming album, F-1 Trillion, is scheduled for release on August 16, he will be performing some new songs when he takes the stage.
Posty posted a photo of a billboard earlier this week that revealed the album’s title and logo, which features cars. He captioned the photo, writing, “Sup motherfuckas.August 16th, F-1 Trillion.
It’s unclear at this time if Post will return to his hip-hop roots on the album or continue on his present path into country music, having reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 with his song “I Had Some Help,” a collaboration with Morgan Wallen.
“Fortnight,” a song Post Malone and Taylor Swift collaborated on earlier in the year, also peaked at number one on the charts.
