Ludacris, who labeled it “the hottest cookout of the summer,” hoped to lessen the pain of Usher’s postponed show in Atlanta, his hometown.

As previously reported, only hours before doors were scheduled to open on Wednesday, August 14, Usher was forced to postpone the start of his Past Present & Future Tour.

He then said that he had a neck injury and was delaying the aforementioned gig as well as two additional dates he scheduled in Atlanta later this week until December, however he didn’t provide a specific explanation for his lack of “100%” performance.

However, because to a collaboration between him, Atlanta’s Black Restaurant Week, and Stella Artois, some fans were fortunate enough to be able to attend Luda’s Cookout on the opposite side of town.

Even though it was an invite-only event, some participants were able to gain entry thanks to Stella Artois’ “Let’s do Dinner Summer Series” sweepstakes.

Ludacris, who always seems to pull through in a pinch, gave Milwaukee fans a free gig earlier this summer after the rapper’s scheduled event had to be postponed due to inclement weather.

Due to severe rain and thunderstorms, the June 22 event in the Wisconsin city had to be postponed due to safety concerns. Still, Luda didn’t want to disappoint his followers, so he took a microphone and strolled around the 3rd St. Market Hall, performing.

In an Instagram post featuring a video of the performance, he said, “My Show In Milwaukee Got Cancelled Last Night Due To Rain & Thunderstorms But I DEFINITELY Wasn’t Leaving The City Without Touching The People.” “Thanks to @stevedastoner4149 for inspiring the #freeconcert movement.”

Ludacris, who never fails to deliver a fantastic performance, was honored with his first-ever Webby Award for his outstanding performance at the Atlanta Falcons Hip Hop 50 celebration last year.

The rapper-turned-actor thanked the committee and admitted that it was on his agenda regardless of the prize when he responded to the recognition on Instagram in April.

In a video, he declared, “I just found out that I won a Webby Award—the biggest accolade on the Internet.” “For descending via rappel from Mercedes-Benz Stadium. I’m amazed as I always wanted to perform this kind of thing.”

“So thank you to the Falcons,” he said. And my gratitude to all those who took part. Anyone who knows me is aware of my thrill-seeking and adrenaline addiction. Furthermore, I believe it’s awesome to get recognized for something I would do regardless.
