Debra Antney, Nicki Minaj’s former manager, has apologized to the singer after their recent argument became public and unpleasant.
In an attempt to put an end to the conflict, Antney apologized sweetly on Instagram on Saturday, July 6, by sharing a video from backstage at a Nicki Minaj performance.
1/4 of the crowd, she wrote. Hard work pays off, and among other things, I’m always proud of you at every performance. I’ll acknowledge that I’m going to let you grow, but you’ll always be my baby, and I’ll be here for you through good times and bad. I apologize, [emoji of tears] people. @nickiminaj #4life #heavyonit.
When Deb made an appearance in Nicki Minaj’s Instagram livestream earlier that day, it seemed as though the two had gotten back together.
The falling out and the reconnection that followed happened quite swiftly.
Nicki recently blasted her old manager for attempting, without her knowledge or consent, to put an end to her long-running feud with Lil Kim.
The Young Money rapper responded to remarks made by seasoned music manager and executive Antney in an Opiniated Truths podcast interview by taking to social media.
Nicki’s mother, Waka Flocka Flame, and her manager throughout her early career, Antney, was asked if she would be open to mediating a ceasefire between Nicki and her competitors, Cardi B and Lil Kim.
She responded, “I think that would be amazing for all of us to see, but people would have to be willing to do that.” “I did reach out to Kim, to be perfectly honest with you—she’s going to kill me for even saying this.”
Subsequently, Antney gave a silent shake of her head, suggesting that Kim was not open to the idea.
Nicki chastised Antney for going too far and interfering in her personal matters once she saw the video.
“Deb, Isn’t it ironic that you omitted the majority of the narrative? On X (previously Twitter), she wrote. “I asked you to do nothing at all!
“You told me after the fact, and I screamed at you, telling you not to do that again without first talking to me because people will think it’s coming from me if you reach out to them now that you’re visible around me.” I told her that was something I would never want and that it would be uncool if she believed the message was from me.
“So yeah,” she continued. You scoffed at it and said, “Her and Foxy should come out.” I told you no. Since Foxy is like family to me, I would only want her to accompany me on stage. With no offense. God bless all of us, especially our kids! Let each do what we do best and give thanks to God for life. In 2024, stop using my name as clickbait. We comprehend! That btch, that’s me!
