After hinting that new music from TDE will be released before the end of 2024, TDE Punch has fans thinking that SZA will release a new album soon.

Albums from Top Dawg Entertainment are renowned for their constant excellence. With a discography that includes artists like Ab-Soul, Jay Rock, Doechii, ScHoolboy Q, SZA, Kendrick Lamar, and others, fans have grown to anticipate greatness from the West Coast-based label.

TDE’s Punch discussed the label’s domination in 2024 after the buzz around Ab-Soul’s new album, Soul Burger, and Doechii receiving her first-ever Grammy nominations for her critically praised mixtape, Alligator Bites Never Heal.

“We’ve had some amazing projects drop this year,” he said in a recent post on the app that was originally known as Twitter. Great pieces of work were produced by Schoolboy Q, Sir, Zacari, Alemeda, Doechii, and AB-Soul. and this year still has a month and a half to go.

Fans on social media thought the TDE frontman, who also manages SZA, was hinting about the release of another album before the end of 2024 because of his wink at the end of his post. In response to a fan’s comment that “LANA is coming,” another fan said, “You’re hinting that SZA has something planned for this year.”

Given that the record label was founded in 2004, some may view this as wishful thinking, while others assume that TDE’s 20th anniversary compilation album may be imminent. Even though he isn’t officially a part of TDE anymore, Lamar had a huge year after his fight with Drake. Lamar’s jabs at Drake and J. Cole on Future and Metro Boomin’s now Grammy-nominated song “Like That” sparked the feud. The song will compete in the 67th annual award show for “Best Rap Performance.”

At his Juneteenth show, The Pop Out: Ken & Friends, the pgLang head honcho invited ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock, and Ab-Soul to a Black Hippie reunion. For his culture-shifting visual for “Not Like Us,” other members of Top Dawg Entertainment were also in attendance.
