On Tuesday, July 16, Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky faced up against the Las Vegas Aces. After they defeated the 2023 WNBA champions 93-85, Usher joined them in celebration.

The Grammy Award-winning artist was shown being led by coach Teresa Weatherspoon to the team’s locker room in a video posted to the Chicago Sky’s Instagram page. There, he was given high fives and even had his picture taken with the players. Usher congratulated them.

Reese invited the R&B icon to say his iconic line in a TikTok that she posted on Wednesday, July 17. Say, ‘Usher, baby,'” exclaimed the power forward. To which Usher replied, “Angel, baby.” Not long later, she started laughing.

Someone commented, “Angel is living her best life right now,” beneath the picture. “Celebrities [are] coming out to see Angel!” exclaimed a another admirer. We adore it. Another comment said, “I would pass out! Met Usher and got the shit? Yes, it’s illuminated.

Reese has had support from many celebrities since her WNBA debut, such as Lady London, Kim Kardashian, and Latto. The basketball player even appeared in a cameo in the song “Put It On Da Floor Again” by the Atlanta rapper. In her debut game versus the Dallas Wings, she received the favor back.

Following Tuesday’s game, Usher also had pictures taken with A’ja Wilson and a number of other Aces players. In a now-viral video, Wilson remarked, “They ain’t did s**t all day, but they wanna take a motherf**king picture with Usher.”

Reese stated in a pre-game interview, “I’ve been watching A’ja for a really long time, even when she was in South Carolina,” according to Athlon Sports. Since I was in Maryland, we have been in communication. While I was a member of the Maryland Terrapins women’s basketball team, she provided me with some mentoring. That kind of relationship is still with us. I’ve made an effort to model my game after her and learn from her in various ways.
