Regarding the incident from last year where he tossed a microphone into the crowd at a concert and injured a radio broadcaster, 50 Cent seems to have avoided being deposed.

After being struck by the microphone, Power 106 host Bryhana Monegain sued the G-Unit mogul and has been requesting an opportunity to interview the rapper ever since.

Monegain’s attorneys stated in court records obtained by Yahoo that “an Order compelling [50 Cent] to sit for deposition and provide testimony must be made forthwith due to the pendency of the August 5, 2024 mediation date.”

Although a deposition was originally set for June 13, Monegain’s legal team was never able to question 50 Cent. She asked for $5,000 in penalties against the legendary rapper, but the judge has not yet decided if 50 must appear in person for the deposition.

Although 50 Cent escaped prosecution for the event, Monegain has since stated that the microphone impacted her, causing lifelong injuries.

According to court records acquired by TMZ, Monegain stated that during 50’s performance at the Crypto Arena in Los Angeles, he tossed his microphone into the crowd and struck a woman in the face and wrist, causing serious and lifelong damage.

In addition, Monegain says she had bruises, an open cut on her forehead, and a concussion.

Even though Monegain is back on the air at the radio station in Los Angeles, she is suing for damages, lost wages, and medical costs because she says she still experiences emotional distress.

Prior to being exonerated of any possible criminal charges, 50 Cent denied wanting to do harm to anyone. This was due to the Los Angeles attorney’s office ruling that there was no case to answer.

“Let’s be very clear, as I told LAPD this afternoon, my client Curtis (AKA 50 Cent) would never intentionally strike anyone with a microphone,” the rapper’s lawyer said in a statement following the incident. Anyone expressing a contrary opinion is ignorant and lacks all the facts.

Although 50 has not made a public statement regarding the event, there is video evidence of him tossing the microphone during a performance with YG. The rapper appears to be becoming agitated over his microphone not working properly before hurling it into the audience.
