The 2003 hit song “Many Men (Wish Death)” by 50 Cent has become increasingly popular following the former president Donald Trump’s assassination attempt.

Following the massacre, trolls and Trump supporters co-opted the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ cut, which resulted in a staggering 250 percent boost in streaming activity, according to Billboard.

Between July 13 and July 15, the song—which describes 50’s own encounters with death—got 2.2 million on-demand audio streams in the United States and over 2,000 purchases.

The song’s recent surge in popularity was sparked by an event that happened on July 13 at a Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where a 20-year-old man opened fire on the divisive politician.

In addition to two additional injuries and one fatality, Trump suffered a right ear wound and was left with blood streaming down his face.

In response to the incident, 50 Cent shared the now-famous image of Trump lifting his fist following ear bleeding, set to the tune “Many Men.”

He captioned his Instagram photo, saying, “I know the vibes [palm on face emoji] we are all in trouble now!”

Additionally, Fif shared a picture of Trump’s head overlaying the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ cover art, writing, “Trump gets shot and now I’m trending [shrugging emoji].”

The altered cover served as his backdrop image as he sang the song at a Boston event on Saturday night.

An AI remix of “Many Man” containing Trump’s voice rapping lyrics by 50 added to the surrealness.

The viral track hears a computer-generated Trump spitting rhymes such as: “Many men wish death upon me/ Blood in my eye, dawg, and I can’t see/ I’m tryin’ to be what I’m destined to be/ And n-ggas tryin’ to take my life away.”
